These pages indulge my feelings of nostalgia for ephemera relating to Doctor Who.

This was an epoch making, ground breaking issue as it was the first time (to my knowledge anyway) that it was reported that over 100 episodes of Doctor Who were missing / wiped from the BBC archives.

Thankfully some of those episodes have since been recovered but many still remain lost, at least for now.

Reading this magazine at the time, one felt shock that so many classic episodes had been so callously discarded but it is with thanks to that magazine that the truth started to come out.

Also above, two editions of 'Sci-Fi Times' from the 1980s, which had boasted artwork by Tim Dodgson and Terry Doyle.

Doctor Who Trump Card Game

Left and below: cards from the Doctor Who Trump Card Game.

I used to play these kind of games all the time as a kid so was very excited to see this pack of cards in the shop one day. This turned to disappointment when I opened the pack and saw the contents: historical figures were included amongst the cards and I couldn't get the point. I wanted more monsters. The art work was adequate rather than great too (photos would have been preferable).

Subsequently, this was the only Trump game I had but never played, though I've kept this set of cards whilst having departed with those I did play with at the time.
