One - The Love Story |
A very nice love
story for Richard Thomas (John-Boy) and for a girl he meets, Jenny Pendleton (Sian Barbara
Allen). |
| Series
One - An Easter Story |
Albeit this has a
sudden very happy ending Michael Learned (Olivia Walton) steals the show in a very
realistic story that makes you really feel for the characters. |

One - The Journey |
One of the most
warm-hearted (even by Waltons standards) episodes. The story of an ill lady's last
journey. Linda Watkins plays Mrs Mackenzie and both she and Richard Thomas give solid
performances. |
| Series
Three - The Matchmakers |
The first episode
to feature Corabeth Godsey and a minor classic it is too. Ronnie Claire Edwards is an
amazing actress who gives Corabeth real depth, you can't help but like her. She fitted
into the series as if she'd always been a part of it and the series was all the better for
her arrival. |

Five - The Great Motorcycle Race |
David
W. Harper (Jim Bob) is a great actor and he really shines in this one. A very nice, good
episode. |

Five - The Best Christmas |
Warm-hearted and
enjoyable story. |
| Series
Six - The Revelation |
The last episode to
feature Richard Thomas as John Boy (in the regular series anyway). |
| Series
Six - Grandma Comes Home |
Ellen Corby as
Grandma Walton was a TV icon and when she had a rel-life stroke it was written into the
series. This episode deals with Grandma's struggles to be treated as before and her
performance is worthy of an Oscar. Will Geer as Grandpa is on excellent form too. |

Seven - The Captive |
My favourite
episode. Corabeth Godsey (Ronnie Claire Edwards) is revealed to be an acoholic and this
episode shows her crumbling to low depths before beginning the life long struggle to rid
herself of her demons. Touching performances from both Ronnie Claire Edwards and John
conley (Ike Godsey) makes this one I watch again and again. |

Seven - The Parting |
Olivia is found to
have tubercuosis and goes off to get well. |
| Series
Seven - Founder's Day |
Great stuff. Jason
has to write a song. |

Eight - The Valediction |
This is the last
really good Waltons episode in my opinion. The next series had a different feel about it.
This one's effectively about Jim-bob growing up and it has the feel of a final episode. It
was never this good again. |
